Imagine International Preschool opened in Yokohama's Landmark Tower in 2003 as Imagine Child Development Center. Founded by the CEO of Imagine Global Care, Hiroki Kinoshita, who felt that Japanese preschools were not able to provide children with the necessary tools needed to become happy, creative individuals. He thus enlisted the help of Harvard professor Kathleen McCartney to build a new type of school where children could freely explore their interests and broaden their mind.
